We are working with a client of ours, an international AmLaw 50 firm, which is seeking a Senior Proposal Specialist in their Washington DC office with a focus on the firm’s Energy practice. Under the direction of the firm’s Pitch and Proposal Manager the Senior Proposal Specialist will collobarate with the firm’s Energy practice leaders to support pitch and proposal efforts. This individual will play a leading role in the business development and marketing of the Energy practice globally. Specific Responsibilities Include: · To write and finalize, from start to finish, new business proposals that are clear, complete and concise with minimal oversight.· To manage, update and improve the systems and processes that support the production of new business proposals.· To provide strategic insight to partners stemming from pitch driven analysis. Under the guidance of the PPM, prepare responses to new business opportunities, including drafting and finalizing proposals, ensuring that the drafted text is in line with the firm’s and section’s key messages. Help oversee the pitch and proposal tracking process, including follow-up with lawyers to capture results, analyze the results, and develop best practices for future opportunities based on the analyses.· Work with marketing and business development personnel and members of assembled legal teams to advance business development initiatives through the development of targeted and effective pitches and proposals on tight, driven deadlines.· Develop competitive pricing proposals.· Handle the maintenance, tracking and updates of frequently used collaterals, including practice descriptions, brochures, capability statements and deal lists.· Send out client alert e-mails, compile metrics reports on client alert e-mails, work in InterAction and write directory submissions.Qualified individuals will have a minimum of five years proposal writing experience preferably within a law firm. Knowledge of energy, infrastructure and project/asset finance marketplace is desired. Proven track record of writing business proposals from inception to completion as well as finalizing proposals with minimal oversight is a must. Bachelor’s degree is required, a JD or MBA would be a plus.
