John Pinkerton
President
John Pinkerton is the President of Ascent Executive Search. Mr. Pinkerton started Ascent in 2004 after working with two international search firms over the previous ten years.
After obtaining a BA in English from the University of Utah in 1994, Mr. Pinkerton moved to New York City to begin his career in executive search. As it was then, John’s industry focus is the legal industry. He partners with large global as well as regional law firms in locating talent in the areas of: Marketing, Information Technology and Administration. John’s client list contains several renowned firms in the AmLaw 250 as well as boutique, specialty firms across the country.
Mr. Pinkerton’s goal in representing candidates is to form a “team” to proactively seek the best environment in order for them to further their careers by assisting, step by step, in the interview process. He believes that as important the client is to the hiring process so to is the applicant and this is reflected in his close relationship with his candidates that many times extend beyond when a person is hired.
When Mr. Pinkerton is not diligently assisting his clients and candidates he can be found on the golf course.
